The End of The Clone Wars

Most Star Wars fans would already know the big news. The end is coming. This post is dedicated to the memories of TCW.

I must say that I expected this to happen, ever since Disney brought Star Wars. It didn't make me any less sad, though. It's true that all things must come to an end sooner or later, but I wish it was later, not sooner. Even stars die. This is another mark that I'm growing up, as much as I don't want to.

I watched my first Star Wars the Clone Wars episode back on season one. I remember it clearly; I was in Africa, sitting on a yellow sofa with my brother with a game of monopoly sprawled out below us, forgotten until the show finished. I wasn't even a hardcore Star Wars fan back then; I only watched the movies and felt special about them. I didn't even know that there are other girls out there who loves Star Wars like I do. Back then, I only came on the computer to use paint, I still pick up dolls to play... well, to pretend they're having lightsaber duels.

Then I started learning more of how to use the internet. I started watching episodes I missed online. Then I brought the movie, and I fell in love with Ahsoka despite the knowledge that she didn't really fit into cannon. Season three came out when I came back to Asia. I watched more and felt interested in the EU. I started using Facebook and connected with other fans.

That's probably when I realized Star Wars the Clone Wars is my childhood and more. Star Wars never told me this, but Star Wars had let me know that it was always there for me as much as I was there for it.

Sure, we would still watch the new movies for the new generation, just like how the prequels were for our generation, and the originals for the generation before us. It may never be TCW. Without TCW Star Wars may seem to die a bit, but Star Wars itself would never die as long as there are people loyal to it.

Okay, I know that's a Harry Potter quote. Sorry. Anyway, enough with the cheesy stuff. Any more and I'm going to cry. Heck, there MIGHT be a season left to go, so why not "live here and now" and enjoy it if it comes?

An episode. A Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode. Only one.
One is enough.
Even though it is the end of the age of the Clone Wars, it has saved its best for last.

Forgive me for taking this from the Episode III novelization, but I can't help it. Kudos for those who knows where it is.

If you haven't watched the video, go watch it! Rest would be anticipation for season 6.

Dave, I really hope you mean it when you said the best is yet to come. I expect season 6 to be the last.

Okay... for the preview? Scream!!! How can you leave us with that?

I'm guessing the clone was under some control, since we already had a rouge clone earlier in the season. I thought the Jedi should be a bit faster... c'mon. It kind of reminded me of Aayla Secura's death  in Order 66, though. Oh, and apart from that it has a few other flaws. Why didn't Anakin sense it and come in the way? Why did the other Jedi call her 'sister' when Jedi aren't allowed family?

The two Jedi 'sisters' are probably Nautolians. If you don't know what that is *cough*, it's the same species as Kit Fisto. They look kind of different, but then again I don't think we ever saw a female Nautolian. For more information go to wookiepedia.

Return of some great clones brighten up my day. But where's Ahsoka? That will be my biggest what-if.

Well, I guess I said enough. I expected this post to be a bit shorter. Anyway, may the Force be with you, TCW, and everyone.

Ahsoka Episodes Review

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

I cried when Prim died in The Hunger Games, I cried when Percy and Annabeth fell into Tatarus, I cried when Dobby and other great wizards died, I cried in Revenge of the Sith.

Those are pretty much the only cases I cried. While watching a story, at least. It's true that I break down sometimes, but to me crying seems to be a weak, private moment, especially when it's all not true.

I didn't even cry when Waxer and Hardcase died on Umbara. There is no passion, there is serenity.

So why am I talking about crying?

BECAUSE THESE EPISODES MADE ME FEEL SO MUCH LIKE A BABY. C'MON!

I've been blasted by feels in the stages of fangirling.

First, something bad happens that hits you. In this case, Ahsoka left the Jedi Order.

Then I feel so overwhelmed. It's too much to take in.

Then you think people will notice so you try not to cry.
Then you start having fits.

Then you try to calm down.

Calm down... calm down... no. It doesn't work.

Then you spend time alone until you finally do, but the reality will live with you forever.

Oh, it's like Percy and Annabeth falling into Tatarus again.

So, forgive my fangirling; I'm going to start from the beginning in a civilized manner.

Sabotage: It was a good episode, but not the best, after what I saw with Maul. It was nice to see Ahsoka again, and she didn't annoy me.
*cough*CovertKnightIBlameYouForTurningMeAgainstHerEvenForABit*Cough*
The chase was great, and I wouldn't have suspected her at first. That was nice. A bit more action would be great, though.

The Jedi Who Knew Too Much: I suspected Sidious. I really did. Then there's the emotional level inside everything. The suspense. Oh gods.

To Catch A Jedi: I suspected Barriss, but I didn't want it to be her since she was a great friend of Ahsoka and in the comics she died in Order 66 as a good Jedi healer. I can't believe Ahsoka got beaten like that. I like the chase, but I wish it was more suspense like the the previous episode. In the end, I was left thinking, "That's it? I have to wait until next week?! Do you have any idea how long that would be?"

The Wrong Jedi: Mental Note to self: Stop crying. Well, at least we know that Ahsoka will survive Order 66. And great, TCW decides to mess up cannon again. Ahsoka's decision seems right, but I hope it's not over. How can the council not trust her? It's try that the dark side clouds them, but they should be able to see. I thought this episode could do with more action, but I didn't think of that until the episode was finished. Maybe it couldn't have fitted with all these emotions.

Oh, did Ventress get her lightsabers back? I hope so.

I hope to see more of her again in season 6. TCW team better not kill her if they don't want to be murdered by a bunch of teenage fangirls. Sorry I couldn't do a better review; I need my emotions sorted out first.

May the Force be with you, Ahsoka, and may the Force be with everyone. Now I have another thing to wait for.

Maul Arc Review

I know I've been neglecting this for awhile... *guilty look* So it's time to come back to review these awesome episodes and revive our interests. So where should I start?

I don't know exactly. It's just... wow. I guess bring Maul back was now worth it. Oh, possible spoilers ahead.

This episode should've been set right after Revival, the season premiere. I can't believe TCW made us wait this long. On the bright side, the wait wasn't disappointing. I fangirled over it my usual way, plus a bit more excitement. It's pretty much your I-will-have-revenge-and-rule-the-galaxy thing, but it's awesome.

Eminence was about Maul and Savage meeting Pre Visla in a cautious alliance and making an army big enough to take over Mandalore. This is probably the episode I liked least. It has little action, and it's just all about recruiting armies. You can't just put all that into one episode; it's too much. But the episode builds up the story, so I can't say I disliked it.

Shades of Reason, which is about them getting Mandalore and obviously turning on each other, is a bit more action packed. Still, the taking over Mandalore is too much for one episode, yet they try to fit it in like they're telling a story so it seems a bit fake, too. Other things, though, are very entertaining to watch. The end has a bit of a twist I love, and I realize how much I love Bo Katan now.

The Lawless is probably the best episode of the season. It was action packed, but not fake, and Obi-Wan is here, pretty much against the Jedi rules. So the season sneak peeks are finally revealed- we saw Sidious, and why Obi-Wan was in Mandalorian armor, and everything. *Squeal* I ship Siriwan, but I have to admit that Satine's death was a big blow. Then Obi-Wan was like, "I'm so sorry" when it was revealed that Bo Katan was Satine's sister. How did I not see it before? Same face shape! That's interesting. It totally reminded me of the time Obi-Wan said "I'm so sorry" to Padmé. Then there's Savage, who I usually hate. I can feel something for him after all. HOW CAN THE ARC END LIKE THAT?!

Overall, the arc was awesome. They try to fit in a bit too much, but it was entertaining to watch and the graphics were awesome, even watching from a poor-quality video. A review of the 4 Ahsoka episodes is coming up! May the Force be with you!

Announcements and A Necessary Bond Review

Hey guys! I noticed that I haven't been posting anything much other than reviews, but I'm not sure what to post. From the number of comments it seems as if you guys enjoy other things more. Do any of you have ideas? I'd love some, but of course I'll keep doing reviews. I'm thinking about doing a writing post. I need that to organize all my thoughts together.

Next thing... Christmas is in the air! I always get excited for this even though Thailand doesn't really celebrate Christmas. I put on some snow animations and Christmas lights, as you may notice. Thank you Rebecca for these animations! November and Thanksgiving passed so quickly! I didn't do a post because they don't celebrate it here, but I'm thankful for so many things that you probably already know - I thank George Lucas for creating Star Wars, I thank books for always being there for me, my family, you guys, etc.

December has always been my favorite month, even more than my birthday month in September. This is because there are so many things happening, especially this year. December the 1st is your birthday, Voronda, if I'm not mistaken. December the 5th is the king's birthday here in Thailand, December the 13th is Taylor Swift's birthday. That's a whole lot of birthdays! December the 14th the Hobbit is out! I can't wait! December 15th is the first post on my blog!

Next thing... I'm not sure when it has passed, but this blog is over a year old already! I remembered I started this blog sometime around here... so yeah. Happy Birthday to POTF (: I thought this funny gif would be nice.

Now, A Necessary bond. I thought it was a very good episode and it had a lot of surprising turns.

The action at the beginning was exactly what I wanted. Then there was action throughout the story, which was awesome too. I have nothing much to say here. I want to keep it spoiler-free.

Then there were the characters! As much as I hate to admit it, I am kind of seeing Covert Knight's point about Ahsoka, which is a bit negative. Obi-Wan was as good as awesome, and the ending reminded me of The Three Musketeers. Hondo is hands down my favorite here. His constant mood swings, Jack Sparrow-ish kind of dialogue, and the ending smile. I thought the youngling was going to hug him.

I was so afraid one of them was going to die- I even feared Ahsoka's life- since they played this sad kind of music sometimes. Without realizing it this episode got me to the edge of my seat.

I wanted more character development, and a few lines on Ahsoka and Grevious about their last confrontation so long ago. I would have liked it better if Grevious was *spoiler* outraged at the end because of their escape, rather than laughing that evil laugh. Slave I appeared out of nowhere and I wanted to know how that is. Did I miss anything? *spoiler ends*

When Obi-Wan said 'welcome home' at the end, the weird thing is that I really felt at home. Which means it doesn't really matter to me anymore whether Disney owns Star Wars or not, because George Lucas thought it was best. Star Wars, to me, would always be that place that will keep me sane.

I just had to say that.

Anyway, I can't wait for more of season five! Please comment below, it makes my day! May the Force be with you!

A Bound for Rescue Review

Okay, we'll keep this short and sweet.

Stilwater, thanks for the picture. Hehe. :)

Okay, so to start off I kind of liked this episode, but it could be better. It's the best episode of the arc so far. This may contain possible spoilers.

I liked seeing the different younglings come in, as well as Obi-Wan finally back. Gungi's lightsaber looked really awesome. I liked the action somewhat at the beginning of the episode too. Hondo drunk... that was pulled off well. The acrobatics of the younglings... another cheer. Grevious appearing badass here is one of the best things. I feel sorry for that poor clone.

I wasn't very surprised that there was a dug, but I was surprised that he was in a ship full of acrobats. I wondered that, if Ahsoka was sold to him, would he be able to handle her?

One thing: there were only blue crystals in the came and how come one of them had green color? And how come Obi-Wan warned Grevious? That was totally out of line. Somethings like this make me feel that I won't enjoy the episode a lot, or maybe it's just the back of my mind that tells me to stop procrastinating homework.

I can't wait next saturday for the new episode, even though I'd get to watch it on Sunday at Mastertoons. I haven't done much other than reviews for awhile... so I guess something will be coming up as soon as I can think of it. Maybe something on my book, or poetry like Tolkien's and song lyrics, but I don't think it will make a decent post. Any suggestions? 'Til then, May the Force be with you!

A Test of Strength Review & Guest Post Announcement!

Can contain possible spoilers...

The quote. The thing that struck out most is the quote. "The young are often underestimated" is something I can totally relate with. I was always like...

Heck yeah.

Anyway, I've been meaning to do this for awhile but I was so busy. I had French Camp on the weekends and I had a math project due, as well as AMC test (which is very important to get into high school advanced math), play rehearsals, and now that all that is gone, I had just played ping pong, ran a mile literally, played soccer, and swam 1.5 miles. Literally. My eyelids are so droopy and ideas are bursting in my head so fast I can't write it all down at once, which is so frustrating.

Okay, I'm done ranting about my life, so let's get on with this.

This episode was a very interesting one, and pretty awesome. It was a different style from the last.

I loved how they showed something other than the golden trio (even though I want to see them in action again. We didn't get enough of that in this season yet). The younglings are my heroes. They are more relatable than perfect jedis, even though that's what we all are aiming to be. I hope they don't die... but I have a bad feeling about this...

Hondo's back! He's portrayed as a bad guy here, and I can't wait what's in store. I got a bit uncomfortable at the last line... uh oh...

The EU references like the lightsabers were one of my main highlights. I wanted to know all about Jedi Culture and everything as much as possible (that's why I kind of liked the last episode). The wood part was my favorite. I was a bit taken aback when the droid came as much as the younglings, since droids couldn't communicate with the Force, but it all turned out well.

I was wondering where Yoda is the whole time, though. Also, Ahsoka's fall echoed Steela's, and even though it was done very well I still think it's a bit weird. I have to admit that in this episode Ahsoka wasn't my favorite... but forget I said that. More action would have made it better. Other than that, it was awesome.

Overall, the episode was great. I'd give it an 8/10 because I was expecting more action but everything else is fine.

My head is drooping now. So, guest posters, I won't be on often with everything on me right now, so come in and feel the spot whenever you want! Now would be a great time! Thanks to everyone who volunteered!

So... may the Force be with you!

The Gathering

The Gathering was okay for me. I can understand if some people didn't like it, but for me, I like it. It was different from other episodes and I was a bit disappointed by the lack of action but it did entertain me.

Getting a peek into Jedi Culture is a huge reason why I didn't dislike this episode. I almost thought that Yoda would recite the whole Lightsaber Crystal Construction poem in his funny talk but unfortunately that didn't happen. There were some things that didn't go according to EU cannon- they said that the younglings are supposed to build the lightsaber in the caves of Ilum, and that you go in alone, that you are supposed to be a Padawan when you build your lightsaber, not all crystals are blue, and so on.

I find the younglings pretty cute, even though they are a little annoying. I think the Tholothian is my favorite- she displayed courage and she still acts like a kid. The Ithiorian came second- I love how he feared but he still got on with it. His attitude reminded me of Jar Jar but I love him- it's a bit comical and added humor to the dark situation. Petro seemed to have learnt a valuable lesson- going in that cave again. They all learnt a lot and we can relate- that's another reason why I like this episode.

And Yoda... his wise self. The turn at the end was unexpected.

And the animation was incredible.

The third reason can all be explained with this picture:
SHE IS SO CUTE! That totally is Ahsoka holding Koon's hand and I always wanted to see her like that- not in fan art drawings.

That's it... May the Force be with you!

Soft War Review

I have mixed feelings about this episode but overall I think it was pretty good. There's a great balance of everything. So, here goes. Possible spoilers ahead.

First of all I'd like to congratulate the Clone Wars team for pulling off this episode really well. The animation was really well done; I love the cloaks, especially Ahsoka's. Saw's one before he left to help the king was a bit stiff though. However, that was forgotten when he climbed up that building. Also, the haunting music really fits in with the scenes.

More plot development would be great, but this is still awesome and I enjoyed it. I loved how it started off with action, specifically. Then there is some things to think about too; like the Seperatists calling the rebels terrorists, and people calling them freedom fighters. It's like viewing the cup as half full or empty, and I like pondering on what is black, what is white, and what is a shade of grey.

The whole idea is really cool, even if it has been used many times before. As the king said, it's not only about fighting, but it's about having the spirit to fight. I wonder how they would win the people's spirit even more. It seemed as if the population is already ready for a fight from the way they reacted to the failed execution, even though I'd love them to act a bit sooner.

That was my favorite part, for the suspense was really high. I thought they'd have a more... sophisticated way to kill someone though. I like the turn of events and the traitor turned traitor of the other side and not the traitor of the rebels anymore (ahhh that's nerve cracking) is actually on my "like" list.

Saw's character is starting to grow on me. He's too brash for my liking, but he's tough and I respect him for that. Lux is... just Lux. Ahsoka is more mature, and I like to see her as the season progresses. She's certainly becoming stronger both physically and spiritually. I like to see her have one shining moment to herself, even though she keeps it as long as possible like the council orders. The scene at the end was really meaningful and I want to see more of that. Maybe Luxoka would grow more, not to my liking or against it though, since Steela also said she didn't like Lux looking at her like that. After that scene, her eyes was a bit strange, which gave me a second of the wildest thought- that's she's a traitor- but that was quickly gone.

One thing the episode lacks is Steela's and Saw's talk from last time. We saw Saw go off and Steela going after him, and I wonder how it all went. I would like to see more of Saw's character development too. The small scene of Anakin and Obi-Wan should add more to the plot in my opinion.

Anyway, I'd give this episode an 8.5/10. I look forward to the next episode, and after that hopefully we'll be able to see how Rush Clovis and Padme gets tied in with Maul. So until next time... May the Force be with you!

Revenge Review

In the eyes of my mind, I went back to the season finale of season three. "Wookie Hunt" ended with an emotional touch. I feel sorry there wasn't more and I looked forward to season four. Now, looking back, I remember the excitement I felt at the start of this season. It seems like only yesterday when we were plunged into an underwater world. Now, the season is over. Time flies when you're having fun.

Last episode wasn't that good for my standards, so I did not expect this one to be really good, though since it's the season finale I knew I would enjoy it. Boy, I was wrong. I didn't only enjoy it, but it blew me of like Massacre did. I love the episode. It has a few strange turns, and it was just the thing I wanted. There was everything that makes a Clone Wars episode awesome- humor, action, love (well, in this case, it's kind of between brothers, and I don't really expect love in this one).

I'm not a very romantic person, and I think one scene of love is enough. No more; no less. While this one does not openly show love, it seemed evident to me that the brothers were completely loyal to one another. While it was like evil love, it can change a lot anyway. The Jedi forbid attachment since love leads to the dark side, Luke's love for his father led him back to the light. I feel it works both ways, though the Jedi are correct to forbid it since we don't need to repair anything if we fix it before it's broken. In this case, though, it's already broken... down to the dark. So I'm hoping that the characters will at least change and surprise me a few more times.

It was interesting to see Darth Mual alive. His craziness was starting to get on my nerves. He was like a young baby and Savage was his baby sitter. Also, the spider legs are just creepy. The game Darth Mual played was kind of funny. He followed the light like a curious little boy. It seems so impossible for a once great Sith Lord to land like this. Kind of hilarious too, though. I'm glad when Mother Talzin (still love her accent, by the way) fixed him up, though that gotta hurt. It wasn't pretty. Though that reminds me of when Ventress was there... and it's creepy how she just went away like that.

I'm glad they landed on Dathomir, and it was somehow dreadful to see the whole Nightsister clan wiped out. While I took comfort in the fact that Talzin was confident the Nightsister clan would survive, I was not a fan of them and had to remind myself that they are evil. While Savage was a monster, he has feelings. I can only imagine how he felt when he saw that. Though his expression didn't really change, I believe there was more to it than the surface. That brings me back to when Savage wasn't a monster yet, and I hope he would get to be like that again.

Obi-Wan was awesome. I love his sense of humor, which never fades away even when he's captured and thrown around like a rag doll. My heart was pumping as if I just ran a mile, and when I saw this it was like I ran a hundred miles. I kept on wincing, and at it eased the knot in my stomach and the tension a lot when he said that he liked Mual's legs and it made him taller. I was like, jeez, he's about to be killed and he was joking around when it's supposed to be his last words. Even when he was taken by surprise when he had to battle both Mual and Savage (I screamed not fair a thousand times), I feel that his skill was not shown too well. He battle Mual as a Padawan even longer than this. Even if Savage was there, it should be longer now that he was a Jedi Master. Not fair. I feel sorry for him when he had to relive that terrible moment when his master died... because the taunt got into him... I never saw it like that. And Darth Mual never taunts... until now.

I loved Ventress in this episode. It's interesting to see how her character develops. From a frightened young girl to a slave, then a Jedi, then a Sith assassin, then a Nightsister, then a Bounty Hunter. Well, kind of. Though she only wanted the money, she seems to be working on the right side now. I feel that there's more than the money to her though. I mean, she's on the wanted list herself and if she captured Savage then turn him in, don't you think that she's going to get captured too? I wonder, now that she was with Obi-Wan, what will happen to her? My best guess is that she'll be dropped off somewhere while Obi-Wan gets back to Courasant. I don't think that Obi-Wan might allow that, since she needs to be tried too. Anyway, even though she didn't admit it, I think she's turned to the good side after all she's been through. She's becoming one of my favorite characters. She has a sense of humor, even though that creepy laugh was still in there. Her Jar'Kai lightsaber style was developing, and she was becoming a greater fighter. She has a weaker left arm, but that didn't seem to show much anymore. She learnt to trust Obi-Wan and everything. In short, she's becoming a great person. Though she really needs to grow some hair...

One thing that's bothering me is the story of her life. We know that in the end of her story she was injured, then Dooku took her in to save her, but then the Jedi came and every one abandoned her. She dueled with the Jedi and lost. As she lay dying, she told Obi-Wan the Separatist's base. But then she put herself in a Sith trace and then went to live the rest of her life away from everything. I don't see how that goes with how she is now. I guess I just have to wait and see.

The two brothers together seemed smarter. Slaughter would definitely bring the Jedi there... but then gulp. They don't care about anything. I just heard the cheers of the kids that were starving, finally hearing the sound of the ship that would bring them supplies. Little did they know that that was one of the last thing they will be doing in their life. I can't believe how cruel the galaxy is. Maul seemed to know exactly what to do. In the end of the episode, I was almost sure that they would want to reach Palpatine. I think Mual knows that his former Master must have taken a new apprentice to keep the rule of two alive, but then he was ready.

I love the animations. The aurebesh writing was awesome. "WANTED" in big bold words and the names of the people gave me a sense of how the galaxy is. I learnt some new criminals too. I love Ventress's outfit. The world that Obi-Wan found was beautiful. The flowers glow at night... it reminds me of Felucia.

The bad things about this episode are few, but then I think worth mentioning. As stated above, Obi-Wan's fight was a little too fake; he could put up more. Also stated above is how this episode fits the whole story. It seemed to have some cracks. I'd love the see Ahsoka and Anakin in the finale, but that didn't happen. I was also hoping to see some other less used Jedi like Master Plo (though he was in holo, that's it). I like a fight with blaster bolts too, but there was none (though the lightsaber fight was awesome and did satisfy me). I didn't like Obi-Wan fleeing, but I guess that's something I have to deal with. Worst of all, I feel like screaming when it left such a good story in a cliffhanger. I gotta go so long without seeing the end... it's just like Escape from Kavado all over again... The plot was okay, but not really my style sometimes.

As I've said, "Wookie Hunt" ended with an emotional touch. This one didn't really, but the cliffhanger was good in a way. My brain knows the season is over, but my heart seemed oblivious to the fact. I'd rate this episode a 9/10. Whatever happens, I look forward to season five.

Revenge

Well, I'm definitely excited for this one, and I have a feeling it won't let me down this time! The Jedi is coming into this just like plain old Star Wars- Jedi vs. Sith!!! One thing that's boggling me, though, is that is Darth Mual a sith still? If he is, then the rule of two that Darth Bane created may have loopholes. Does Sidious know? There are many questions in my head... I hope they're answered here.

Moral

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

This reminds me of The Force Unleashed Two... "I was once foolish to think my enemy's enemy is my friend." or something like that. It contradicts each other, but I believe in both. I mean enemy of my enemy is my friend, but I still need to be guarded, right? Or something. I don't want to confuse myself.

Official Description
"Savage and Maul, now reunited, pursue Obi-Wan Kenobi in search of revenge, and the Jedi Knight finds himself forced to unite with a surprising ally to defend against the deadly siblings."
Simply said, this leaves me speechless.

Pictures
One note... I find it surprising that they went to the thick of the action in the trailer, because mostly they show just the scenes that were not so exciting, but pumps us up. So the trailer left me literally wide eyed.

Is that... Obi-Wan's lightsaber?! I wonder what Anakin will say? :P Anyway, looks like he's armed, though now a saberstaff as usual.

So Obi-Wan arrives on this creepy world that's kinda beautiful. Huh. And I notice his lightsaber...

I'm glad Obi-Wan force pushed it to the wall to end it's misery of slamming itself over and over, even though it's a droid.

This is where it gets creepy and exciting!

Good to know that Darth Mual replaced his legs. Those spider legs were creepy and fragile and.... gah. I hated it. Anyway, it's also good to know Obi-Wan is still himself.

Just like the trailer for Darth Mual returns! Beautiful! And deadly...

Yes, Obi-Wan, it is really him. Though he does talk more than in Episode one.

Yeah, he will never forget him.

The two brothers... I just read about Mual in Darth Plaguies... so he's half nighsister and everything... surprising and awesome! That explains a lot.

It seems not to belong in this episode and the graphics ain't good. Hmmm...

Yes that is Obi-Wan's lightsaber. Oh Force.

Doesn't seem to belong either. And not beautiful like the others.

A good lightsaber fight always pump me! And I see his lightsaber...

Darth Mual NEVER taunts. It simply isn't his style, as stated in wookiepedia. Until now. This is the first time I see Obi-Wan like this.
That's it for now! May the Force be with you!

Brothers Review

The last words of the episode echoed through me head as I type this. I had a Star Wars marathon of reading fan fictions, watching the movies again, and now seeing this episode. The episode. Right. It could be summed up in three words.

Darth Maul returns.

Those three words carry a sea of meaning and raised up so many questions. What? Where? When? Why? How? I was all crazy about having my questions answered, and looked forward to this episode. One of the most awesome characters in TPM is coming back. That should cause a lot of excitement. I don't know how to say this, but I was disappointed. It wasn't that bad, but I had higher hopes for it than any other. But it turned out to be just another episode. Yoda's words echoed through my mind. "If routine you count on, disappointed you hopes will be. It is better to expect nothing and let each moment surprise you." Well, I wasn't counting on routine, but then I knew what he meant. My questions were hardly answered, but at least I got hope that it will next week and I got to enjoy the episode more or less.

Let's start of with the things not concerning this episode. I'm really glad that Anakin and Ahsoka are back, but they didn't play much of a role. Anakin sensing the disturbance is building up the story, but then it didn't help really much. Same thing with Dooku. I noticed that they repeated the same exact words. Chris in Secrets of the Force also pointed out that Ahsoka calling her master Anakin is unsettling. The Force theme was nice, but it was somehow off. I was happy Assajj Ventress was there, but I quickly discovered there was no point of putting her in since there was not going to be a good part of her inside the episode. Mother Talzin also had no point in the episode. I don't really see how she betrayed Savage either. Though, on a random note, I like her accent.

Next stop, the comic relief. The talking snake. It kind of reminds me of Jar Jar, but then he was not the same. I'd trade some humor for seeing Darth Mual sooner anytime. It was quite strange seeing a snake talk like that. I think it's not quite Star Wars-ish. The humor made me laugh a little, which was a good thing in the episode. I did not see the betrayal coming at all. I feel like strangling the snake myself, and I can't say that I didn't take pleasure in seeing it choked and burnt.

Savage is displaying his usual self. I winced when he threw the guy off his own ship- ouch. That gotta hurt. His tracking skills are good, and I'm glad the necklace has a role in it. There was too much of him tracking his brother on the planet, since we were all dying to see Darth Mual come back. There should be less of that and the scenes with the stupid talking snake. The "Is that you, brother?" lines were cracking my nerves. I'm glad, though, that he finally reached Mual, even though it was all for the rain.

Darth Mual. His voice doesn't match the original one that well, and it's understandable that he's mad but it's overkill. I find his legs creepy and weird. On the bright side, he definitely looks starving and his horns are longer than they had been in TPM, which suggests he was ill. It was queer to see a once strong sith become... this. I'm hoping for something. Anything.

The episode has some pretty good action, but then there's not enough. Seeing short fights between brothers aren't enough for me. And some pathetic life forms fighting with Savage isn't that good. I was hoping for a lightsaber fight or something.

The scene at the end was good. After the single word "Revenge" I knew something was coming up. At least the dark side did not blind Yoda, seeing he knows Mual was alive. Obi-Wan repeated the same thing he did in season three, though he was then talking about Savage. ("I killed him myself") I wonder what the chancellor would do if he knew... if he already didn't.

In conclusion, I hope this doesn't sound too negative. I'm okay with it, not hating nor loving. If this was in a normal Clone Wars episode to me, I would say it's awesome. It has some bright sides- the animation is great, some good action, appearance of the characters I like, etc. But then it was... off. I wanted better for Mual returning, and the trailer got me pumped up. I was disappointed, but then not that much. I still have hope that the next episode would really shine. I'd give this one a 6/10. Until then... May the Force be with you!

Brothers

I'll start off by saying that episodes without Jedi is starting to wear on me. I hope that this one has it, though I'm quite sure it does. Anyway... if my emotions can be described in words, I'd say I'm elated that Darth Maul is going to be epic. And that's putting it very mildly... and "very mildly" is an overstatement.

Moral
"A fallen enemy may rise again, but the reconciled one is truly vanquished."

Wow... I love this one as usual. Something to puzzle out... at night... reminding myself that I'm supposed to think of Star Wars...

Official Description
"The dark warrior Savage Opress is on a quest to find his long-lost brother. Could Darth Maul truly be alive, after more than a decade since his gruesome bisection at the blade of Obi-Wan Kenobi? Savage voyages into the depths of a twisted planet to find whatever became of the fallen Sith Lord."

My mouth is opening in a silent scream. That's all I need to say...

Pictures

In a cave... creepy...

Savage searching everywhere... he is close...

He finds out the necklace glows with the dust... which means something interesting is gunna happen...

Even with the clan dead she's still up to something.

The pictures below I'm not sure whether they are from the next episode, but I'm guessing they are and some of them are just epic.

Nice planet. I love this color. And his ship looks like a bus.

He knows...

He stands at the entrance...

Love his lightsaber :D

*mouth opens in shock*

The two brothers finally meet :)

I'm glad Assajj is appearing again! Can't wait for this!

I'm not sure if Obi-Wan is in here and I'm guessing not... but I wish it were so. Until next time, May the Force be with you!

Bounty Review

Man, that was a great episode! Though I can't say honestly that it was the best in the season, it sure did exceed my expectations. I did not think that this episode is going to be good, but boy I was wrong. Usually I enjoy all the episodes, and this one was no different. It was touching moments as well as humorous ones, and yet many full of action... which is everything I need to enjoy an episode. So, down to business.

The thing that struck out to me most is the star. Asajj Ventress. We always see her a a villain, and I saw her as that too... until the last episode. I pity her. After all she did, she found she had lost everything again and again in her life and then became aimless. But now I have to smile, seeing her finally know who she was and who she could be.

She's not a really bad person, is she? She can't help being like that after all she went through. She was fair with the credits in the end, and she saw from the little girl that she was like her. And she let them go without killing them. As it states in Wookiepedia, she had thought that perhaps Kenobi is right... and walked away from everything in the end. She made the right choice. She kind of reminded me of Starkiller, who's destiny was awoken like hers.

I have to admit I was worried about the Bounty Hunters who fell off, though I felt to special attachment to them. I was pretty surprised when they were all back with credits... since they failed and yet they got their bounty. I sometimes love seeing money quarrels.

I sided with the Bounty Hunters at first because I thought they were delivering something as a good cause. I knew they were doing it for money, and when the employer said "Loosing your bounty will be the least of your problems" it seemed really serious. Therefore I was shocked when the girl came out. And even then I thought she was a daughter of an important person, taken for a ransom. Thus, I was even more astonished when the box reached the employer and he declared stupidly that his bride was here. This episode has a few strange turns.

As for Boba, I'm glad he's back. I must say I liked his old haircut better, but him with the helmet is amazing. For one so young, he was really good. Though I'd say he was foolish at the end to test Assajj. I knew that when she took the cart out it did not contain the little girl, but I was surprised that Boba was in. I thought there was some useless junk in there... or nothing at all.

If I am to find one bad thing about the episode, I'd say the plot isn't very thick. I mean, the only thing that kept the episode going was one point: Deliver the cargo. But then later on that changed as well, since the main thing after the money quarrel was not to deliver the cargo safe and sound anymore. Also, I enjoy seeing Jedi in episodes, and it was a little disappointment not to see them. They're my thing more than Bounty Hunters are.

The setting was done really well. First I was doubting whether Assajj landed was Tatooine or not, but then it was confirmed a yes when they mentioned desert. That would explain Assajj shielding her eyes when she first landed. And the cantina was great. I enjoyed the part where Assajj seemed like trying to get herself drunk, but the killing part was not so pretty. Also, the alien planet was done well; I love the purple environment and the animals as well as the building and elevators.

Okay, I'm saving the best for last. I love the action the most. I like seeing fights when they were on a moving ground like this one. I wondered at first why Assajj did not use her lightsabers, but then it wasn't necessary. The weapons of the opponent as well as their agility and flexibility are awesome. I wasn't surprised they lost the battle, since Assajj was a very skilled dark assassin. On the other hand, I was surprised the girl had the nerve to speak out when the battle was lost. I'm glad there was at least a genuine hug in this one, shared by a family member to another. It lightens the mood a little bit.

Overall, I'd give an 8/10 for the episode. That's it for now! I look forward to seeing your thoughts! May the Force be with you!

Bounty & DARTH MAUL RETURNS!

I do not think this one will blow me off, but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless.

Moral
"Who we are never changes, who we think we are does."
Something to puzzle on :) I like it :D

Official Description
"An aimless Asajj Ventress joins a team of bounty hunters under the leadership of young Boba Fett. On an alien world, they undertake a dangerous but profitable mission that tests the limits of their skills, and the strength of Asajj's character."

I thought Boba was in prison? He escaped like Obi-Wan did? Well... gotta see!

Pictures
There's going to be action for sure :)

I like that creature :) And I see the team coming...

Hey, that man sitting got a sense of humor :D

I like Boba more with hair. The droid at the back looks like Grevious Magna stink tinny :)

I'm glad Ventress made the stand, though I don't know why I am :D

********************

Now.... Eeeeeeeeeeeekkkk!!! Darth Maul returns! Though it kind of spoils the moment in TPM, I still can't wait for it to come! :D
I'm not going to do the pictures and everything, since I think it's better for you to watch the epic video yourself if you haven't already. Don't forget to explore a little, there is a small video after that that say Preview: Darth Maul returns to the Clone Wars

I just can't wait... the video showed me the pieces of the puzzle that I'm going to put together... later on with the help of the full video! I'm mystified by this one. It knew what I wanted and gave only a sip of water to a dying man's mouth. It gave me what I needed to know but gave only a drop so I know what it's like. It knows I will crave more. Though I'm glad to know that the Nigtsisters were still going, Dooku is sharp as ever, and the dark side didn't cloud Yoda. Oh, and of course there's going to be some epic action.

That's it for now... May the Force be with you!

Massacre Review

So, picking up the ride from season three, I got on the roller coaster, knowing it would be great. But "great" is a huge understatement. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better when I saw The Box, it just did. I know, I know, I say that for every episode, but this one stood out. And I say that for every episode too... but well, you get the idea. This is one of my best episodes in the season. Dark, spell binding, fast, breathtaking, (I could go on forever to describe it) this is a dark roller coaster that twists and turns like a rancor.

The thing that stood out to me the most was... how dark it was. The whole saga centers around the battle between the "light" and "dark" side, but this one is dark against dark and evil against evil. And another thing is that Star Wars rarely ever has magic, yet this one is darkly magical. Even the colors show it all. No yellow light or anything, just the color of blood and green to stand out of the background.

I feel really sorry for Ventress. First she had no support of the nightsisters when she was really young, then she suffered the death of her master, then her sith master abandoned her, then she was betrayed by Savage, then she lost her clan forever. I wasn't surprised she spiraled down the dark side... but what Padme said about Vader was true here too. There was still good in her. I'm not a fan of her or anything, but then she is so... lost. Just when everything seemed okay it all turned out another way. Hey, that rhymes.

On the other hand, I laughed at Dooku's chicken pox. There. I said it. I laughed. I laughed so hard that tears came welling up in my eyes and I threw around just like Dooku did. He deserved it. Jeez... he can't leave her alone. But at least he had enough wit to go contact Grevious, though I can't imagine how he managed to do that. And Talzin coming out of him gave me goosebumps. He wasn't over used, which was awesome. I love it when he begged Grevious for help. I had to remind myself that a Jedi does not take satisfaction in those things.

Grevious, oh, that slave. Though his lightsabers were flashy in the dark environment. Hehe... he reminded me of Starkiller. He served without question, killed without remorse, and lost his heart without warning to beautiful Imperial fighter pilot Juno Eclipse, never suspecting that he was just a tool in the schemes of his masters—until it was too late to escape their lethal betrayal. Well, he didn't loose his heart because he had none, except for that pathetic one Obi-Wan pulled out in ROTS. And their betrayal... the sith wanted him dead later on anyway.

Now looking at the Nightsisters, I don't see them that evil. They were loyal to one another even facing death. They had been in exile, killed only in defense, and even though their magic is dark, they didn't do anything evil. Revenge is something everyone is vulnerable to, and I can't say they're bad to take it. If there needs to be a good guy in this episode, it would be them, I guess.

The undead totally creeped me out. My eyeballs are glued to the screen and I can't tear it out. But still... yikes. Even when they came the tide of the battle turned in the Nightsister's favor. And... turned it back when they dropped down. The mother of them all was surprisingly killed, but then I can't say I'm surprised of Mother Talzin's powers. This all reminded me of Death Troopers, a novel set in the times of the Empire, which kept me awake at night for so long.

I knew Ventress would win Grevious and he would betray her like a coward he was. Though they aren't sith, Shaak Ti's last words echoed through my mind, "The sith always betray one another... But I'm sure you'll learnt that soon enough."

Somehow I wish the Jedi were here... but this is not meant to be. The episode is meant to be dark, and the Jedi would bring light to it. That's most likely unnecessary and maybe even brings the episode down. But still I wish they were here.

Tightly-plotted with so much action, I thought there was going to be a break apart from the dark humor. But alas, there was none. I guess I have to do with that, though I'd very much like a break to calm my heart (which, by the way, is still beating very fast now like I just ran a mile).

All in all, I can't wait for the next episode, though I know it won't be dark like this anymore and I know I can't possibly enjoy it as much as this one (I thought that at The Box and I was wrong, so I'm hoping I'm wrong here too), but I';m keeping my hopes up. I'm giving the episode 9.5/10, 0.5 taken off for making my heart beat so fast I thought a heart attack was coming (though that was necessary). Of course, I rarely gave full score (and my heart is still beating too fast for my liking). So until next time, May the Force be with you!

Just for the record, my heart is still thudding.
