House of Hades BY RICK RIORDAN Review

This review will contain two parts: The first without spoilers. The second will have all the spoilers, rants, fangirling, and so on.

Wow. I can't believe I still love Rick Riordan after he put me through Hades.

At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy’s instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea’s forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?

They have no choice. If the demigods don’t succeed, Gaea’s armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.

So. I started reading a Percy Jackson book (again), preparing to have my heart ripped out (again), and end up sobbing throughout the book (again). Yep, it was totally worth the wait. One full year of teasers and everything. I got the last copy out of the bookstore too. Lucky me. To sum up this book in one word: DAM. For non-Percy Jackson fans who don't get that joke, it's pretty much phenomenal. 

I mentioned before that a flaw (if I must state one) of the Heroes of Olympus books is the jumble of characters. Introducing a lot of new characters in mid-series is always a hard thing to pull off. Well, it’s not really mid-series, since the start of a new series, but to us fans (or only me personally?) we/I think Heroes of Olympus is a continuation of the Percy Jackson series. That’s why I was really angry that the Lost Hero didn’t have Percy inside, and at first I honestly thought I picked up the wrong book. We didn’t really care about the new characters as much as the old ones (Percy, Annabeth, Nico, etc.), with perhaps the exception of Leo. Fangirls totally love him. He’s the best new character Uncle Rick made.

In House of Hades, the mess cleared up and the new characters are much more likeable. I can’t go exactly into details without spoilers though, but I will say that each and every character, especially the new ones, seems to grow very well.

So, what exactly are some flaws in the House of Hades? Not a lot can be said (without spoilers at least). But I think it’s kind of weird that each new character have their own chapter to shine and they develop so much in that part… and the rest, they’re just there, helping out, but never really that important anymore. And maybe it’s just me, but I’d like to see some more romance. I never thought I’d say that, but Percy and Annabeth’s journey through Tatarus wouldn’t go as it had without their love for each other. I don’t see that a lot. I know Percy had some encouraging comments, Annabeth is worried for Percy, a few kisses, but still.

Everything seemed... ordered in this book. They face a problem, it was really hard and they can't use their fighting skills to defeat it, then they come up with an Athena-worthy way to defeat it, then they move on to the next problem. 

The theme of this book... I'm always looking for what I learnt from a book. This one was awesome. The hardest part of a war is learning to let someone else take the sword for you. At least, that's the hardest part for someone that's not evil.

I feel so sorry for Percy and Annabeth. I think they're like, the best heroes ever. They should be having a tour through disney land (okay, maybe not), not a tour through Tatarus. They're kids. With so much responsibility it could break them. But they went on. Ah. Young love.

To wrap the non-spoiler part up, this is an amazing book, but personally I loved Mark of Athena more. Maybe it’s because it left me crying harder. Rick is correct: no cliffhanger is worse than Mark of Athena. So while I’m looking forward to the next book, I’m not dying for it.

Let's do a character analysis!

Starting with the seven.

Percy- of course, our favorite demigod is back.

Annabeth- as awesome as always.

Jason- well, now we finally get to know what's going on inside his head and what he thinks of everyone saying he's the "golden boy". I like him better. Oh, and now he doesn't seem as much of a rule follower as before. I'm also glad he chose Greek. 

Piper- she starts off in the book duck-taped. About a quarter through the book she starts becoming helpful in her one chapter to shine. After that, then meh. Her charm and her growing sword skills are fine, so I guess I'm starting to like her more.

Leo- him. I love him. Seriously. Now I totally ship him and Calypso. OTP worthy relationship. "That didn't happen" and "okay". Oh my gosh. And it shows how, without his humor, the seven wouldn't be very happy. He matured a lot.

Frank- Okay, he became more handsome. That's cool, I guess. And Ares/Mars yelling inside his head... gods, that must be annoying.

Hazel- So. She became a sorceress. That's awesome. I loved how she played a bigger role in closing the Doors of Death. And Hectate turned up! I'm not sure what to think about the goddess though. I guess I'll just stick with Hazel's opinion. I never loved her, but now I definitely like her more.

Other characters

Nico- ah, it kind of pains me to see this boy like this. He's fourteen. I'm surprised Rick put a homosexual character in a children's book, but I'm glad he did. I always loved him, but now for some reason I like him even more. It's especially heartbreaking to see how he starts off as this innocent, happy boy playing mythomagic to this pale, brooding person who lost his sister and went through tatarus and had to live with the fact that someone he loves is going through tatarus.

Coach Hedge- Awww, a baby! I thought he was going to betray them when we first saw him send those messages, but I'm glad he didn't. Mellie and Hedge is just so sweet.

Somethings I thought about:

-I wonder what happened to Arachne. 

-Hey, I want a prophecy. I get it, you're following a big one, but can't we have a small one?

-Nico's POV would be very interesting. 

-So... everybody's happy? No one dies? I'm very happy that they have a happy ending, don't get me wrong. But despite all the change inside each character, no one dies or obtain any physical damage. I was positively terrified when Annabeth went blind, and I thought it would stay that way. I know it's going to be horrible, but that would make it a good story. (Still, if she did go blind forever, I would curse Rick.)

Also, Percy and Annabeth isn't that worse for wear after coming out of Tatarus. It left Nico shattered, and he practically lived among the dead. I know Percy's a *stronger* demigod than Nico, but still. This is a horrifying experience.

-Foreshadowing was obvious. They talked about Bob, Bob came. After that it didn't play around much with foreshadowing. Some things were a bit predictable. I knew that when Leo met Calypso, they would fall in love even though they didn't like each other at first sight.

-I find it too much of a coincidence for both of them to be at the doors of death at the same time, considering the fact that even time in Tatarus doesn't flow the same way as time in the mortal world. So unless there is some divine force (not impossible) making them come at the same time, it seems a bit fake. But I didn't think about that during the book; it didn't trip my mind over or anything. I just thought about its weirdness afterwards.

-I know it's a children's book, but do bad guys always have to talk before doing something. You know it just gives time for the opponent to do something.

-I can't keep track of everything that happens in the book. All the names and places are really hard for me to remember in order. Of course, I remember the highlights (Leo and Calypso, Percy and Annabeth with Damasen, etc.) Still, all the fast paced and action packed events are what makes the book so fun.

-As much as I hate to say this, I think Leo is gonna die when he swore "An oath to keep with the final breath." Jason is gonna go ahead a fulfill the line "to storm (or fire) the world must fall." But Rick hinted this a bit, so I guess it's not really going to happen that way since prophecies never turn out the way we expected it to.

Little things fangirls notice:

-Reyna gets her last name. Yay!

-Hello, Grover and Rachel! It's awesome to see them even if they're in a dream.

-Again, we notice how easy it was for the gods to get away with things even after they swear on River Styx. Like how Zeus sired Thalia and got away with it. Calypso is still marooned on the island and nothing seems to be happening to the gods.

-Rachel kept the blue brush! 

-Connor Stoll burns M&M's to his dad. That's adorable.

-The word "homosexual" or "gay" isn't used in this book.

Wolverine

I will try to keep this as spoiler free as possible, but consider yourself warned. Another thing, I am not good at reviewing movies, but here we go anyway.

Summary from IMDb: Summoned to Japan by an old acquaintance, Wolverine becomes embroiled in a conflict that forces him to confront his own demons.

To start off, I enjoyed to movie very much. I have not read the original comics, and therefore I cannot compare it with the movie. I do not know anything about the previous movies and hardly had any idea of the plot before I sat down and watched it. Yet, I understood the story perfectly. It could be a stand-alone movie.

The opening scene is probably the most awesome thing in there. I probably gasped aloud. And that plot twist at the end- woah. “I buried my grandfather” I knew there was something sinister going on, but I thought it was just the ramblings of a dying man.

All the action scenes are just amazing. I especially enjoyed the silent ninja fight, and the train fight seemed so realistic. However, nearing the end of the movie I couldn’t concentrate due to my full bladder and my unwillingness to get up. The drinks, popcorn, and first-class bed didn’t help either.

Yukio (played by Rila Fukuhima) has a lot of character depth. I had my doubts about her at first, but I can’t help but like her as the story progresses and more of her past is revealed. While she didn’t show any outward sign of hurt when she was said to be “just a toy”, I felt bad for her. Besides, you can’t help just liking girls that are badass.

On the other hand, I cannot feel for Wolverine himself at all. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed his character development immensely, but I just like characters I can relate to. The ending of the movie seems fitting to me- how he had finally come to peace- or as close to it as possible- with his own immortality. That raised a lot of questions in my head. As the Mortal Instruments books put it (sorry, I’m still not over the fact that City of Bones comes out so SOON), staying [young] forever sounds good until you really think about it.

As I said, I’m not much of a film critic, but I do have something to say about the focusing. Sometimes the keep focusing on the front and leaving the back blurred and switching it over and over that it makes me feel weird. On the other had, the action scenes were perfect. I don’t like too many shaking camera moments, and this one played out perfectly- shaking only on action scenes and such. Another thing I wish to have on the film is more humor… preferably ones that aren’t sexual. But the humor that is already in the film made me laugh well.

Overall, it’s a nice film to watch if you want something to enjoy. I really didn’t think about it much after leaving the theaters. However, the (spoiler) fate of the viper women is something to think about.

Son of Sobek by Rick Riordan short REVIEW

I will TRY to keep this both fangirling and spoiler free. I WARN you, it's going to be hard. This is me right now.

I know the title says "Featuring a sneak peek from the House of Hades", but nope. I wasn't in the version I read, since it's only published at the back of the Serpent's Shadow book, not the real book.

The Son of Sobek is, as you probably know, a crossover between the awesome PERCY JACKSON series and the also great Kane chronicles. Carter is investigating rumors from of a monster from Long Island when he runs into Percy Jackson. And boy, their meeting isn't exactly friendly...

Again, even if it's in a short story I can finish in, like, ten minutes or so, Uncle Rick didn't fail to pack the story with action, feels, and humor. This novel was a good revision of both series, especially the Kane chronicles, since I'm forgetting the details there. This may be a book for children, but it is nevertheless very entertaining and humorous to the point of *cough* fake. But it's not. It's a book for children. It's fun. Recommended. 5 stars.

I'm glad Uncle Rick wrote the characters the way he did... like you would know when you read the book. The ending left me screaming, but not as much as Mark of Athena. Nothing can be worse than that. Rick, I'm expecting a sequel. If you leave me at that, my life would be over. Still, the way the story goes is probably for the best, though my heart aches to tell each character the full story of the other.

I can't review more since it's a short story, and I don't want to give spoilers, but before I go with the thought of hoping you'd comment below, I would like to say...

Iron Man 3 Review (Spoiler Free)

Let's keep this short and simple. 

The poster looks cool. Anyway, I wouldn't be watching this if it wasn't for the free tickets- in fact, I hardly ever go the cinemas. The last time I went was for the Hobbit. 

Summary: Marvel's "Iron Man 3" pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? (c) Disney

So you might be asking... so... um... how was the movie? Did you like it?

I'll be like, well, Iron Man seems just like other superheroes.

My sleepy brain doesn't seem to be able to understand it all.

Most of Tony's toys are running on remote control.

There seemed to be a lot of plot holes.

The action seems so fake.

Parts are disconnected.

BUT I LOVED IT.

Squeeeee... it's been a long time since I really watched a movie. So I guess every movie made me happy. All the actions, the disturbing scenes, and the humor gave us an exciting ride through the movie. 

Yes... *cough* Tony Stark will always be Iron Man.

I like Robert Downey Jr. I really do. Who can resist his awesomeness in the movie? In Iron Man 1, I still remember that scene with that quote... "Most people say the best weapon is one that never has to be fired. I respectfully disagree. I say the best weapon is one that only needs to be fired once." Or something along that line. In this movie, the quote that sticks to me, from the beginning to the end, is "We create our own demons." You'll find out what I mean when you watch the movie.

The humor is always there, but it never draws our attention away from the plot. How it all wraps up gives me a sense of satisfaction when I left the cinema. It's true that it could be more realistic, but there are some of the best moments in the trilogy in this movie. I was really shocked at some points that I stopped breathing. Pepper Potts could've been stronger, but she developed Stark's character well anyway. Oh, and I like the kid. Harley, right?

All in all, it was a thrilling experience, even though it could have been more... feely. Fangirls would know that word. Since there's allot of Marvel fans here... I'd say I love it. And I mean that.

Alex Rider Series (and movie) by Anthony Horowitz REVIEW

SCREAM!!! HE IS SO CUTE!!!

Okay... I got that out... now I gotta start reviewing it. 

I have been wanting to read this book for awhile- ever since last year when my brother brought the final book. Back then, I was still on the roll with reading Star Wars books so I didn't read much of other books. Now I see what I'm missing. Seriously. Then, after I read Artemis Fowl, it pushed me to read this, since for some reason I always compared them together.

To put it simply, I loved Alex Rider. Otherwise I won't be reviewing it here, of course. Out of the forty or so books I already read this year, this is one of the few I'm reviewing. Heck, I didn't even review the Mortal Instruments and Divergent- I'm planning to do that with the movie like I am doing now. Looks like I have a new fandom. Again. I felt something close to what I felt with Percy Jackson.

Alex Rider is about a fourteen year old unwilling spy caught in deadly games. It's action packed and impossible to put down. It has shades of grey, unexpected turns, narrow escapes... and places where people really had to suffer. Like any other good books, it taught me something- that we all have a hero inside of us. Like Percy Jackson did. For something that couldn't speak, the message was loud enough to be etched into our hearts forever. 

Like Percy and Artemis, I fell in love with Alex from the very beginning. Even before I saw how cute he was. He's so unique, but he is relatable and he never gave up hope. Even when he's about to die, which is usually through the whole series. The way his character developed over the series was great to read about. Of course, he didn't get away unscathed, and that is what makes my heart reach out for him. Then I started shipping him with Sabina and so on... I can't tell more without spoilers. But I can tell you this: clear your schedules before you start reading. Make sure there's a box of tissues nearby so, in the end, you would have something to wipe a lake of tears on. The emotional level is like... Percabeth in Tatarus. I was like, "NO! IT WAS FAKED! (the character) CAN'T DIE!" Then in the end, Alex's response to it, and how he knelt on the remains, tore my heart out. I should probably mention that my granny died around the same time I read that, so I was experiencing... double-greif. Even though one is not even a real character. Oh, and there's also the humor. Even if it's about gruesome deaths. Or just witty speeches.

Another thing I liked about the series is the fact that every book has its own specific plot and still are connected as a series. If I end a book with a cliffhanger (though it did, once) I feel like dying. Fortunately, when there was this one cliffhanger I had the next book right next to me.

What I find funny is the fact that the whole adventure happened in only one year. There are things that aren't plausible, but of course there needs to be that if the story goes on. Besides, it is mentioned that Alex had the luck of a devil. There were times when I sighed inwardly and said, "Here we go again... Alex Rider off to save the day". But of course I can't wait to read it. 

Now for the movie. Operation: Stormbreaker.

The movie is an entirely different matter. Of course, the boy was cute. And Shena- you would be pleased to know- Ewan McGregor played for Ian Rider, Alex's uncle. I think you already knew, though. I, on the other hand, was screaming when I saw him.

I just finished the movie a few hours ago. I think the dialogue could be better. Sometimes it seems so fake. Sometimes, it's like The Lightning Thief  movie all over again. It was a great cast, a great story, and so on, but something was missing. There were many things changed, though not as much as TLF. Overall it was enjoyable, though.

The End of The Clone Wars

Most Star Wars fans would already know the big news. The end is coming. This post is dedicated to the memories of TCW.

I must say that I expected this to happen, ever since Disney brought Star Wars. It didn't make me any less sad, though. It's true that all things must come to an end sooner or later, but I wish it was later, not sooner. Even stars die. This is another mark that I'm growing up, as much as I don't want to.

I watched my first Star Wars the Clone Wars episode back on season one. I remember it clearly; I was in Africa, sitting on a yellow sofa with my brother with a game of monopoly sprawled out below us, forgotten until the show finished. I wasn't even a hardcore Star Wars fan back then; I only watched the movies and felt special about them. I didn't even know that there are other girls out there who loves Star Wars like I do. Back then, I only came on the computer to use paint, I still pick up dolls to play... well, to pretend they're having lightsaber duels. 

Then I started learning more of how to use the internet. I started watching episodes I missed online. Then I brought the movie, and I fell in love with Ahsoka despite the knowledge that she didn't really fit into cannon. Season three came out when I came back to Asia. I watched more and felt interested in the EU. I started using Facebook and connected with other fans.

That's probably when I realized Star Wars the Clone Wars is my childhood and more. Star Wars never told me this, but Star Wars had let me know that it was always there for me as much as I was there for it.

Sure, we would still watch the new movies for the new generation, just like how the prequels were for our generation, and the originals for the generation before us. It may never be TCW. Without TCW Star Wars may seem to die a bit, but Star Wars itself would never die as long as there are people loyal to it. 

Okay, I know that's a Harry Potter quote. Sorry. Anyway, enough with the cheesy stuff. Any more and I'm going to cry. Heck, there MIGHT be a season left to go, so why not "live here and now" and enjoy it if it comes?

An episode. A Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode. Only one.

One is enough.

Even though it is the end of the age of the Clone Wars, it has saved its best for last.

Forgive me for taking this from the Episode III novelization, but I can't help it. Kudos for those who knows where it is.

If you haven't watched the video, go watch it! Rest would be anticipation for season 6.

Dave, I really hope you mean it when you said the best is yet to come. I expect season 6 to be the last.

Okay... for the preview? Scream!!! How can you leave us with that?

I'm guessing the clone was under some control, since we already had a rouge clone earlier in the season. I thought the Jedi should be a bit faster... c'mon. It kind of reminded me of Aayla Secura's death  in Order 66, though. Oh, and apart from that it has a few other flaws. Why didn't Anakin sense it and come in the way? Why did the other Jedi call her 'sister' when Jedi aren't allowed family?

The two Jedi 'sisters' are probably Nautolians. If you don't know what that is *cough*, it's the same species as Kit Fisto. They look kind of different, but then again I don't think we ever saw a female Nautolian. For more information go to wookiepedia.

Return of some great clones brighten up my day. But where's Ahsoka? That will be my biggest what-if.

Artemis Fowl Series by Eion Colfer REVIEW

It seems as if I had read this series a long time ago. Recently I started wanting to get over thinking about books that aren't out yet, like House of Hades or Divergent #3, so I read Artemis Fowl to make me feel... younger, you can say. So here I am, deciding to review it since Shena mentioned Artemis in this post and I just have to address the series, and how much I love everything about it from the boy to the plot, and even the name itself. 

I admit one of the reasons I decided to pick up this series again is because of Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt. As you all know, I'm getting Percy Jackson heart attacks ever since Mark of Athena. Another reason is that one of my best friends gave me the Opal Deception (Artemis Fowl #4) as a birthday gift and I haven't picked it up since then.

So, I guess I better start reviewing a book that couldn't be properly reviewed because of how awesome it is.

Since it's been awhile, fangirling has died down a bit, so you don't have to be worried about sudden screaming. Does that mean the book is good? Oh, yes. It's a great book. But you guys know me- I fall in love with almost every book I read. Anyway, possible spoilers ahead. 

Artemis Fowl is about a millionaire, boy genius, and above all a criminal mastermind. However, even he doesn't know what he's taken on when he decides to deal with fairies. Over time, as he lands into various troubles, Artemis learns things that his genius can't teach him.

One thing I really liked was, of course, the main character. Artemis Fowl. At the first page, he already captured me. Fowl by name, foul by heart- but he does have that side inside him that he never shows, but it's there. He does love his mom, even if he was always formal with her, even after she fell into a depression when Artemis Sr. got lost in the Atlantic. Over time, he has shown great character development- even turning good. Gasp! Yep. He's not your average save the world hero- he can't even run without tripping. That's something people can relate to. I envy his brilliance, but I can't believe how undeniably evil he was. I pity, but I despise him. It's amazing- and unbelievable- how Colfer breathes life into him to make him so... believable. And magical. 

I love all the other characters too. Butler was amazing! Of course, I laughed with Mulch, and enjoyed watching Foaly and Artemis compete their geniuses. In the first book, I ship Artemis and Juliet, then there's Artemis and Minerva, and then Artemis and Holly comes and crashes it all. C'mon. I shipped Artemis and Minerva so hard! Both geniuses named after the gods. I was SO fangirling over when Artemis was said something like, "Learn from someone who had already made the mistake". The great Artemis Fowl? To someone he hardly knew? There's gotta be something in there! Sadly, Minerva didn't appear in books other than The Lost Colony. I know people don't like her, but I do.

Usually I'd root for the good guys in story, but... who exactly is good here in the first book? I hoped Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon unit got away, but I didn't want Artemis to lose either. As the series progresses, white and black becomes clearer, and Artemis grows more and more through his heart. 

Sure, it may have too many plots for each book, but the ending, so fitting... and so touching... made me so sad to say goodbye to this.

When I put this book down, I can say with conviction that I had learned something from this. Not to be melodramatic, but I guess that's what all good books are about. I can just imagine standing on the side as Artemis starts the whole new adventure, rescues his father from the Arctic, got his memory wiped and regained, fight Opal, travel through time, struggle with the Atlantis Complex, and finally, I felt so proud as he sacrificed himself the save the world- but his genius could save him yet again. 

So, in conclusion, thank you to Colfer for giving me Artemis Fowl. How did you like the book? Comment below!

Ahsoka Episodes Review

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

I cried when Prim died in The Hunger Games, I cried when Percy and Annabeth fell into Tatarus, I cried when Dobby and other great wizards died, I cried in Revenge of the Sith. 

Those are pretty much the only cases I cried. While watching a story, at least. It's true that I break down sometimes, but to me crying seems to be a weak, private moment, especially when it's all not true. 

I didn't even cry when Waxer and Hardcase died on Umbara. There is no passion, there is serenity.

So why am I talking about crying? 

BECAUSE THESE EPISODES MADE ME FEEL SO MUCH LIKE A BABY. C'MON!

I've been blasted by feels in the stages of fangirling.

First, something bad happens that hits you. In this case, Ahsoka left the Jedi Order.

Then I feel so overwhelmed. It's too much to take in.

Then you think people will notice so you try not to cry.

Then you start having fits.

Then you try to calm down.

Calm down... calm down... no. It doesn't work.

Then you spend time alone until you finally do, but the reality will live with you forever.

Oh, it's like Percy and Annabeth falling into Tatarus again.

So, forgive my fangirling; I'm going to start from the beginning in a civilized manner.

Sabotage: It was a good episode, but not the best, after what I saw with Maul. It was nice to see Ahsoka again, and she didn't annoy me.

The chase was great, and I wouldn't have suspected her at first. That was nice. A bit more action would be great, though.

The Jedi Who Knew Too Much: I suspected Sidious. I really did. Then there's the emotional level inside everything. The suspense. Oh gods.

To Catch A Jedi: I suspected Barriss, but I didn't want it to be her since she was a great friend of Ahsoka and in the comics she died in Order 66 as a good Jedi healer. I can't believe Ahsoka got beaten like that. I like the chase, but I wish it was more suspense like the the previous episode. In the end, I was left thinking, "That's it? I have to wait until next week?! Do you have any idea how long that would be?"

The Wrong Jedi: Mental Note to self: Stop crying. Well, at least we know that Ahsoka will survive Order 66. And great, TCW decides to mess up cannon again. Ahsoka's decision seems right, but I hope it's not over. How can the council not trust her? It's try that the dark side clouds them, but they should be able to see. I thought this episode could do with more action, but I didn't think of that until the episode was finished. Maybe it couldn't have fitted with all these emotions.

Oh, did Ventress get her lightsabers back? I hope so.

I hope to see more of her again in season 6. TCW team better not kill her if they don't want to be murdered by a bunch of teenage fangirls. Sorry I couldn't do a better review; I need my emotions sorted out first.

May the Force be with you, Ahsoka, and may the Force be with everyone. Now I have another thing to wait for.

Maul Arc Review

I know I've been neglecting this for awhile... *guilty look* So it's time to come back to review these awesome episodes and revive our interests. So where should I start?

I don't know exactly. It's just... wow. I guess bring Maul back was now worth it. Oh, possible spoilers ahead.

This episode should've been set right after Revival, the season premiere. I can't believe TCW made us wait this long. On the bright side, the wait wasn't disappointing. I fangirled over it my usual way, plus a bit more excitement. It's pretty much your I-will-have-revenge-and-rule-the-galaxy thing, but it's awesome.

Eminence was about Maul and Savage meeting Pre Visla in a cautious alliance and making an army big enough to take over Mandalore. This is probably the episode I liked least. It has little action, and it's just all about recruiting armies. You can't just put all that into one episode; it's too much. But the episode builds up the story, so I can't say I disliked it.

Shades of Reason, which is about them getting Mandalore and obviously turning on each other, is a bit more action packed. Still, the taking over Mandalore is too much for one episode, yet they try to fit it in like they're telling a story so it seems a bit fake, too. Other things, though, are very entertaining to watch. The end has a bit of a twist I love, and I realize how much I love Bo Katan now.

The Lawless is probably the best episode of the season. It was action packed, but not fake, and Obi-Wan is here, pretty much against the Jedi rules. So the season sneak peeks are finally revealed- we saw Sidious, and why Obi-Wan was in Mandalorian armor, and everything. *Squeal* I ship Siriwan, but I have to admit that Satine's death was a big blow. Then Obi-Wan was like, "I'm so sorry" when it was revealed that Bo Katan was Satine's sister. How did I not see it before? Same face shape! That's interesting. It totally reminded me of the time Obi-Wan said "I'm so sorry" to Padmé. Then there's Savage, who I usually hate. I can feel something for him after all. HOW CAN THE ARC END LIKE THAT?!

Overall, the arc was awesome. They try to fit in a bit too much, but it was entertaining to watch and the graphics were awesome, even watching from a poor-quality video. A review of the 4 Ahsoka episodes is coming up! May the Force be with you!

Updated Fandom Identification Card

After not posting for quite awhile (sorry), it feels kinda weird to make two posts on the same day. However, I want to get back into the habit of blogging every now and then, so why not start very frequently?

So, last time I made a Fandom Identification Card, I was pretty happy with my results. Back then, I don't know what most of them are. Now I do. And I'm not that happy with the results. I don't know why it matters, but it just does. I suppose it's like saying why does Star Wars matter to you.

I took the test five times and combined it honestly, but also based on what I want. For example, if I get Sith thrice and Stormtrooper twice, I'd choose Sith of course. However, if it's Sith twice and Jedi twice (and bounty hunter once), I choose Jedi because I want to be a Jedi more than Sith. As Dumbledore said, it is our choices that makes us who we are, not our abilities...

Moving on.

My results weren't very different from last time, now that I look at it. Let's analyze them up.

Harry Potter: As I told you, I want to be in Ravenclaw. Ever since I read the books. I suppose Gryffindor won't be too bad, since our protagonists are on there. However, they're known for their quick temper and arrogance- not that Ravenclaw isn't arrogant, though. I don't mind being Hufflepuff or Slytherin. I have two accounts in Pottermore- I'm in Ravenclaw one, and Hufflepuff the other. Knowledge is the most valuable thing on earth, or as Rowena says it, "Wit beyond measure is a man's greatest treasure." Oh, and of course, My favorite character the borderline genius Hermoine was almost sorted into Ravenclaw, and she would have if it didn't go against fate.

Hunger Games: I'm glad I got into district four. Same district as Finnick! Yay! It's main production has everything to do with water, and for some reason I felt happy when water's around. I love the sound of raindrops, I can think best in the shower, my favorite childhood show is the little mermaid, and of course, Percy Jackson comes on the list as the son of sea god.

Twilight: Nothing much to explain. I did get a tie between human and vampire with one werewolf, but I chose vampire because it's just good for me. After reading the Mortal Instruments, eternity is a long time to face and everything, and I admit I wasn't sure. But I should be a human before, so I'd get to experience both.

Lord of the Rings: Same as before, and I'm really glad. I'm into archery and everything. This is my team on Facebook too. Like vampire, there's eternity to live too.

Star Wars: This is, of course, obvious since when I took the test Jedi was on my mind. I would accept nothing else, and I'm most elated here. There's nothing much to say if I don't get fangirly about it, and I don't think I want a fangirl attack right now. 

Divergent: This is what I want too. To be free, even if it means to die young. Not boring Amity, or evil Erudite. I know I liked Ravenclaw better than Gryffindor, but here Duantless seems better than Erudite. The tattoos and everything kind makes me consider, but I can be like Tris. Okay, I don't really like her as a protagonist, but yeah. I'll be like Four. I kind of have a fangirly crush on him. Unlike some other male characters, he thinks females are just like men and when they're weak he doesn't really look at them in sympathy. This may seem cold, but I kind of like it that way. Anyway, the dude who I *cough* like at school is the same. 

Mortal Instruments: I got a Warlock once, and that would be really cool, but I prefer Shadowhunter- their skills, courage, and everything. Here, I don't think eternity would suit me. I also like Jace.

Percy Jackson: *Squeal* Okay, I was nervous about this. I thought I'd be a mortal- and I almost was. But yay- Demigod! I'd have it no other way. Like Shadowhunters, most live a dangerous life, but that's where the fun is. I'd be in Apollo's cabin like Will Solace... but I also like Athena and Poseidon. Poseidon won't really be possible since he's one of the big three, and I'd like to live with my mom more than dad. I won't say more or I'll erupt in fangirly fits.

Narnia: That's exactly how I'd like it. I got Narnian and Talmarine once, but I like this one. There's nothing much to say here. I'd love to be like Peter the Magnificent and all that.

Dr. Who: I'm the Doctor. Hell yeah! That's all that needs to be said.

The rest I'm still, sadly, not familiar with, but they seem cool. Klingon is nice in Star Trek, but I don't know a lot about them. I want to read the Games of Thrones, but I heard it's a bit inappropriate. Human in Battlestar Galactica is nice, since it's the only one I can be myself. His Dark Materials: Will's Oxford seems nice, but maybe it's just because the name sounds cool.

Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan REVIEW

I'm going to keep this review short and sweet, since the series is not over and I don't want it to feel like it is either. Warning: Possible spoilers ahead. Bigger Warning: Fangirl on the Loose ahead.

Okay... *clears throat*

I read the three books- the Lost Hero, Son of Neptune, and the Mark of Athena. Like the Percy Jackson Series, I read it everywhere, and the kindle is in my hands from the moment I wake up until the moment I sleep. I read it while eating, walking, and... you get the point. There's going to be the fourth one, House of Hades, coming out this year 2013... in October. 

My reaction?

SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!

Why. Why? WHY??? My Gods, why in the name of Zeus, I have to wait so many more months just to read the next book? 

Oh, Rick. I love him, but I hate him. He introduced me to a whole new world, and a beautiful one, but he made me FEEL the agonizing torture for me to wait for the next book.

My human, civilized self: Well, I'd rather wait all these months and get a good book than wait a shorter time and make it a lousy book.

But still.

***SPOILER***There was the bitter ending of the Mark of Athena... It was so sweet I was bawling.

While most of my fandoms has a special "Always" word, this one should be "never".

“Percy, let me go,” she croaked. “You can’t pull me up.”

His face was white with effort. She could see in his eyes that he knew it was hopeless.

“Never,” he said.

Percy tightened his grip on Annabeth’s wrist. His face was gaunt, scraped and bloody, his hair dusted with cobwebs, but when he locked eyes with her, she thought he had never looked more handsome.

“We’re staying together,” he promised. “You’re not getting away from me. Never again.”

Only then did she understand what would happen. A one-way trip. A very hard fall.

“As long as we’re together,” she said.

She heard Nico and Hazel still screaming for help. She saw the sunlight far, far above—maybe the last sunlight she would ever see.

Then Percy let go of his tiny ledge, and together, holding hands, he and Annabeth fell into the endless darkness.  

So this is how I feel.

And then this.

And then this is my quest, as important as closing the Doors of Death. Okay, maybe not.

But Still...

Please?

Note to self: Calm down... they're alive... Rick said so...

Okay, I should get civilized. The books were remarkable. Actually, no. EPIC doesn't cover it. There was action, humor, and a bit of cute romance. I had my own little lesson in Mythology, and I love the way Rick ties Greek into Roman into modern. The fate of the world hangs in balance with a couple of teenage kids who aren't exactly up for the task, even though they have special powers. I don't want to give away much, though, so I won't say a lot more. I should do a separate one for each.

For the flaws, I'd say the characters could be better developed, and they got through almost every problem. Come to think of it, it's a bit unreal but it still happened in the least expected way (like, if you read the book, when Mr. D showed up. If you didn't, never mind). No civilians dying at all is a bit unreal. WHERE'S PERCY'S PARENTS? He's in hell literally and they're not here!!! In fact, Percy isn't even in one of the books... *sniff*

The Lost Hero: I think this one may be my least favorite, since it changed so much from the Percy Jackson series that I needed time to adjust. My favorite character... Perseus... missing. He was never in the book. That's probably why I don't like it as much as the others (I still love it). I miss the old characters, but I got introduced to a bunch of new ones. In time I learnt to love them. Leo, the comic relief, especially stuck to me. Then there's Piper. And Annabeth is still there! 

Son of Neptune: Yay, Percy's back! Unfortunately, he doesn't know who he is. He doesn't know anything except for the name "Annabeth". So sweet! *cough*HERA!!!*cough* The quest is great, I loved seeing Roman stuff instead of Greek, but I miss Camp Half-Blood. This seems like it takes camp WAY too seriously, and at first I thought Greek Camp was hard.

Mark of Athena: This one broke my heart and got me depressed, though not necessarily in that order. It's probably the best, now that Percabeth is on again when they're reunited (So sweet... I was smiling like an idiot). As long as they're together, any challenge can be faced. All the twists and turns made me at the edge of my seat even more than the two previous books, and while every book taught me something new, this one is really special. To quote, "Being a hero doesn't mean you're invincible. It means that you're brave enough to stand up and do what is needed."

So this is me now.

I know this is not really a proper review, just fangirling and telling what I like, but...
